Theft of travelers documents and other valuables is most likely to occur at airports, bus terminals, and train stations. Foreigners have been violently attack on commuter and metro trains, especially between Johannesburg and Pretoria. Do not give your hotel address to a stranger. Use only accredited transportation centers.
